Vertical Blinds

Vertical blinds complement most window shapes and add height to any room. The vertical vanes are available in a full range of styles from moderately priced vinyl and aluminum to decorative fabrics. The vanes rotate open and close and draw across the window like a drapery to provide excellent light control. Verticals stack tightly when opened, taking up much less space than draperies. When closed, the vanes overlap, keeping out heat in the summer and the cold in winter. The vertical position of the vanes also prevents dust from collecting. Vertical blinds come in various colors and are commonly a 3 1/2″ wide slat. They are available in PVC, Fabric or wood materials. A vertical application in a honeycomb shade is also available. Hung from a sliding head rail the blind can be operated like a slider door and stopped in any position. Hunter Douglas Crosswind vertical blinds are made of one continuous piece of wood. The slats are 3 1/2″ wide and match many of the Hunter Douglas Country Wood stain colors. A Luminette is a vertical blind by Hunter Douglas that is a combination vertical blind/sheer drapery enabling the best of both worlds. Prices can vary by brand, size, fabric and lift options chosen.
